Glen Breton Ice is an exceptional single malt, aged to perfection and finished in a Nova Scotia ice wine barrel.
Inspired by a suggestion from a dedicated Glen Breton fan, Glenora Distillery collaborated with an award-winning Nova Scotia winery. The distillery acquired an oak barrel previously used for Ortega Ice Wine to enhance one of its finest 18-year-old whiskies. This innovative partnership marked the beginning of a unique experiment.
Recognizing the bold and distinctive character of ice wine, the whisky was closely monitored as it developed subtle hints of sweetness and fruit from the wine-soaked oak. After precisely four months, the whisky reached its ideal finish, harmonizing the richness of Glen Breton with the elegance of ice wine influence.
